Invitation for Quotations

Project: Construction of Infrastructure Facilities for Umbrella Organization Nepal’s (UON) Project in Waling Municipality, Syangja District, Nepal.

Umbrella Organization Nepal (UON), dedicated to child protection since 2005, invites interested construction companies to submit quotations for the construction of infrastructure facilities in Waling Municipality-9, Syangja District, for the project “Aandhikhola School of Bamboo Technologies and River Restoration”.

Scope of Work:

Construction of:

  • Shed of 24.6 ft length, 12 ft breadth and 12 ft height (center) for bamboo storage.
  • Shed of 24.6 ft length, 12 ft breadth and 12 ft height (center) for bamboo treatment plant.
  • Shed of 15 ft length, 11 ft breadth and 10 ft height (center) for office room.
  • Toilet/Bathroom of 6 ft length, 4 ft breadth and 7 ft height.
  • Toilet/Bathroom of 4 ft length, 3 ft breadth and 7 ft height.
  • Shed of 24 ft length, 9 ft width and 11 ft height for raw material storage.
  • Bamboo Treatment tank of 23 ft length, 5 ft breadth and 3.5 ft depth with chemical disposal tank of 6 ft length, 6 ft breadth and 4 ft depth with metal frame roof of 7 ft height.
  • Shed of 24 ft length, 9 ft width, and 11 ft height for product storage.
  • Guard room of 8 ft length, 6 ft breadth, and 9 ft height.
  • Iron wire compound fence of 89 meter length and height of 6 ft.

Specifications:

Detailed specifications provided for each component including materials and dimensions:

  • For Shed:
    • Concrete floor- OPC cement, good quality sand and gravels.
    • Metal pillars 3’*3′, for T shape: metal pipe of 2’*2′ and 1.5″*1.5″. at least at 8 ft.
    • Ceiling: zinc sheet roof-(42mm-58/60kg/hundle), and bamboo false ceiling.
  • Guard room: All of 1; with cement/brick wall of 6 inch’.
  • Treatment Tank: Water proof tank/OPC cement, fine sand and gravels.
  • Fence: Metal wire with Iron/metal pipe 2*2′ inch as pillar in 6 ft distances.

Eligibility:

Registered construction companies with relevant experience, especially local companies from Syangja District, will be given priority.

Submission Requirements:

Sealed envelopes marked “Construction Quotation – UON Project” to be submitted no later than 22nd May 2024. Detailed project proposal, cost estimation, timeline, company profile, and relevant certifications must be included.

Quotations must demonstrate experience in similar construction projects.

Evaluation Criteria:

  • Compliance with project specifications and requirements.
  • Cost-effectiveness.
  • Past performance and experience.
  • Ability to meet project deadlines.
  • Compliance with local regulations and building codes.

Quotation Opening:

23rd May 2024 at the office of Umbrella Organization Nepal (UON), Kathmandu.
