The Umbrella Foundation Australia Launch Night
You’re invited to Umbrella Foundation Australia’s national launch event!
We’re lighting up the The Starlight Room at Wests for The Umbrella Foundation Australia. With smooth jazz from Saxonova, we’ll have a night of fun, prizes, raffles, games and dancing!
All proceeds from the night go to The Umbrella Foundation Nepal, caring for trafficked, orphaned and vulnerable children.
We hope to see you there!

The Umbrella 7′s tournament is a boys and girls high school rugby tournament that is to be held this fall in Toronto.
This competition is slightly different to others as not only do participants enjoy playing one of the most exciting brands of rugby and enhancing skills used in the 15-a-side game, it also helps vulnerable children in Nepal, one of the world’s poorest countries.
In the last number of years, 7-a-side rugby has taken off as an international sport. So much so that in 2016 this format will be introduced in the Rio Olympics. It provides an opportunity for smaller rugby powers to shine, with its fast, wide-open, low-impact style.
Fiji is one of the world’s leading powers in the men’s event, while Canada is one of the top-ranked women’s teams. Ireland is currently the only major rugby-playing nation that does not have a professional 7-a-side team and, without an organised 7′s competition at schools level, the gap is set to grow.
The Umbrella 7′s tournament has been fully endorsed by Jamie Heaslip, Irish international, British & Irish Lion and The Umbrella Foundation’s patron, who in June 2011 volunteered with us in Nepal.

An evening of delicious homemade wine and chocolate with friends all to raise money for the children of The Umbrella Foundation.

After their successful ‘For One Night Only’ gig for the Umbrella Foundation, DIRTAY PROTAY have decided that they want to do it all again! So on Saturday the 19th of October, we’ll be taking over Slatterys Bar in Rathmines and we’ll be rocking it out with the help of The Matt Flan Experiment! So if you want to support the Umbrella Foundation, who do incredible work helping children in Nepal, then come along and support for ‘The Second Night Only’! Shifting and fanging will be a part of the night, so remember to bring your wallets, your drinking boots and your dancing trousers – because free drinks will be given to anyone that turns up in leather trousers. Also be reminded that this is a music gig, so anyone not willing to shake their funkay thangs, will be tutted at every available opportunity… Doors open at 8:30pm, gig starts at 9pm – SHARP (not nepali time)! This will be a late one, with a massive after party planned, so be warned…

For the 2nd year running The Umbrella Foundation are hosting a fundraising cycle around the Ring of Kerry this October Bank Holiday.
A huge success last year this event promises to reward you dearly for your fundraising efforts. Only change is we will have two groups of cyclists – one will complete the 170kms over two days and the other over just one day to cater for all levels.
Group 1 leaves Killarney Sat morning (Oct 26th) and going clockwise will arrive back in Killarney that night. This group can choose to spend two or more nights in Killarney and welcome back Group 2 on Sunday evening.
Group 2 leave Killarney just after Group 1. They will spend the Saturday night in B&B’s in Waterville and with a shorter day’s cycle will arrive back to Killarney late Sunday afternoon.
Accommodation and support will be arranged similar to last year. Anyone wishing to complete only a small section or just take a break is more than welcome to jump into one of the support cars.
All the money raised here goes directly to the kids in Nepal and the on-going operation of the childcare homes the reintegration, youth programmes and rural community work under ‘The Umbrella Foundation’.
PLEASE spread the word and pencil in the date on your calendar!
Thanks guys!
