They had been studying hard all year and it was an almost 100% record for our kids in their SLC exams this year. The youths sat their exams in April and spent the two months thereafter in their respective villages volunteering as teachers in their local schools or by completing a survey on the local community, it’s income, it’s agriculture and it’s industries. These volunteering assignment enabled your youths to spend some quality time in their home communities for the first time in many years. The period at home also enabled them to re-build family and community connections eroded over time spent in Kathmandu and we hope that it will stand to them in future.
They are now entering our Next Steps programme where many are choosing to study Humanities, Education, Science and Management as well as courses in vocational skills.
As they enter this new chapter in their life, they will need your support more than ever so they can continue to fulfill their potential!
